Dr. Maritza Mínguez is an ophthalmologist in Santo Domingo, fellowship-trained in low vision, dedicated to the visual rehabilitation of people with significant vision loss.
A Doctor of Medicine Cum Laude graduate of the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), Dr. Mínguez completed her ophthalmology residency, training as an ophthalmic surgeon, at Hospital Dr. Elías Santana.
She subspecialized in low vision with the Organización Nacional de Ciegos Españoles (ONCE) and Lighthouse International, two world leaders in visual rehabilitation.
At Centro Láser, she cares for people with low vision, helping them make the most of their remaining vision through evaluation, optical aids, and visual rehabilitation.
