Dr. Silvia Gamarra is an ophthalmologist in Santo Domingo, specializing in oculoplastics: the plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, tear ducts, and orbit.

A Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, she completed her ophthalmology residency in Caracas and her fellowship in oculoplastics at Hospital Dr. Elías Santana (INTEC). She then revalidated her medical degree at UASD to practice in the Dominican Republic.

Her practice covers eyelid surgery (ptosis, ectropion, entropion, tumors, and eyelid reconstruction), the tear ducts (dacryocystorhinostomy, probing), and the orbit, along with aesthetic procedures for the upper third of the face.

She is a founding member of the Asociación Dominicana de Oculoplastia and speaks at oculoplastics symposiums.
