About Dr. Tejada
Dr. Anabel Tejada is an ophthalmologist in Santo Domingo, fellowship-trained in cornea, anterior segment, and refractive surgery, with experience in corneal transplant and premium-lens cataract surgery.
A Doctor of Medicine, Cum Laude, from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), Dr. Tejada completed her residency in ophthalmology at Hospital Central de las Fuerzas Armadas and her fellowship in cornea, anterior segment, and refractive surgery at Hospital Central Militar in Mexico (Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional).
She has specific training in preparation techniques and lamellar corneal transplant (Eye Bank, Centro Médico Nacional La Raza, Mexico). She has been part of the Centro Láser medical staff since 2022.
A researcher and educator, she is a professor at the UASD School of Morphological Sciences and the author of book chapters and an indexed scientific article, with presentations at national and international meetings (Pan-American, ESCRS, and the Sociedad Dominicana de Oftalmología).
