Dr. Fátima Núñez is an ophthalmologist in Santo Domingo, fellowship-trained in strabismus and pediatric ophthalmology, with subspecialty training in strabismus completed in Mexico.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and completed her ophthalmology residency at Hospital Dr. Elías Santana.
She completed her strabismus fellowship at the Asociación para Evitar la Ceguera en México (APEC), based at Hospital Dr. Luis Sánchez Bulnes of the Universidad Autónoma de México, with rotations in pediatric retina and pediatric ophthalmology.
She maintains a strong academic and research focus: she's a full member of the Consejo Latinoamericano de Estrabismo (CLADE), has presented her work at national and international conferences, and completed clinical research and medical education programs at the Harvard T.H.
