About Dr. Salazar
Dr. María Teresa Salazar is an ophthalmologist in Santo Domingo, fellowship-trained in cornea and refractive surgery, with more than two decades of experience.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and completed both her residency in ophthalmology and her fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at Hospital Dr. Elías Santana.
She has been part of the Centro Láser medical staff since 2000. She has also practiced at Hospital Dr. Elías Santana, Instituto Contra la Ceguera, and Hospital General Plaza de la Salud.
She is a member of national and international cornea and cataract societies (ADOCOR, ADOCAREF, ASCRS, AAO) and has served as treasurer of both the Cornea Bank of the Dominican Republic and the Dominican Cornea Association.
