Dr. Ivanna García is an ophthalmologist in Santo Domingo and a fellowship-trained surgeon in glaucoma and anterior segment, skilled in filtering surgery, MIGS, and laser treatments.
A Doctor of Medicine Magna Cum Laude from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), she completed her residency in ophthalmic surgery and her fellowship in glaucoma at Hospital Dr. Elías Santana. She was recognized as Resident of the Year (2018) and is certified by the International Council of Ophthalmology (London, 2019).
Her practice focuses on glaucoma and the anterior segment: she is skilled in traditional filtering procedures and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), as well as laser treatments (SLT and cyclophotocoagulation). She is certified to operate the Catalys femtosecond laser.
