biography
Dr. Elupina De León is an ophthalmologist in Santo Domingo, fellowship-trained in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, with additional training in ocular ultrasound.
A Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), she completed her residency in ophthalmology and her fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Hospital Dr. Elías Santana.
She furthered her training in ocular ultrasound at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (Baltimore). She is a member of the Latin American Council of Strabismus.
With decades of experience, she has been a featured speaker at international courses on strabismus and nystagmus, and she stays current through ongoing training at national and international conferences.
