Dr. Evelyn Díaz is an ophthalmologist in Santo Domingo, with a master's degree in community eye health and extensive experience in blindness prevention.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) Magna Cum Laude from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), completed her residency in ophthalmology at Hospital Dr. Elías Santana, and holds a master's degree in Community Eye Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
She headed the Blindness Prevention Department at Hospital Dr. Elías Santana and has served as medical director of eye care centers. She joined the Centro Láser medical staff in 2024.
Her career combines clinical ophthalmology with a strong commitment to community eye health and blindness prevention, including participation in regional initiatives such as Vision 2020.
